Kolhapur, in southern Maharashtra, has a small law-entrance coaching market, and the two institutes whose own official pages confirm CLAT preparation at a Kolhapur centre are Career Launcher in Shivaji Park and IMS in Shahupuri. This guide lists only what we could confirm on official pages, and explains who we left out and why.
Quick facts
City: Kolhapur, Maharashtra
Exam covered: CLAT 2027 (exam on 6 December 2026; applications close 31 October 2026), plus AILET and MH CET Law where the institute offers them
Institutes listed: 2, each confirmed on its own official website as of 30 October 2026
Coaching areas: Shivaji Park (Ranbhanjali) and Shahupuri
Next CLAT date: CLAT 2027 registration closes on 31 October 2026 (Consortium of NLUs)
How we picked this list
We included an institute only if its own website shows CLAT or law-entrance preparation at a centre in Kolhapur. Directory sites name a few more local tutorials, but they carry no institute websites and no recent confirmation, so we did not rank them. We kept the list to two instead of padding it to ten. If you run an institute that should be here, send us its official page and we will check it.
1. Career Launcher, Shivaji Park
Career Launcher's Kolhapur centre page gives the address as Plot No 82, Ranbhanjali, near Apex Hospital, Shivaji Park, Kolhapur 416008. It lists a law programme covering CLAT, AILET, NMIMS and MH CET Law, with live classes, mock tests and performance tracking, and also CAT, BBA and IPM courses. The centre quotes 6 of the top 10 ranks in CLAT 2025, which is its own claim and which we could not verify. The page shows no fees and no current batch details, so ask for the next CLAT batch date and the fee in writing.
2. IMS Kolhapur, Shahupuri
IMS's Kolhapur page places the centre at Padma Gaddi Karakhana, beside the SBI Treasury Branch, opposite Hotel Pavillion, Shahupuri, Kolhapur 416001. It says the centre was established in 2020, lists CLAT among its programmes alongside CAT, GMAT, CET, GRE, BBA and IPM, and names Daksh Mitra as Chief Mentor for Law and BBA. The centre has classrooms, a study room and an online learning set-up, with faculty from Mumbai, Pune and Delhi. Fees and results are not published on the page.
What we left out, and why
Directory listings also name First Attempt Success Tutorials (Rajarampuri 7th Lane) and Study Circle (Gargoti, Bhudargad taluka) for CLAT in the Kolhapur area. We could not find an official page for either, so they are not listed. We also looked for a Kolhapur centre of LegalEdge and of T.I.M.E.'s ClatPrep and could not confirm one on their official sites.
How to choose
The two centres are in different parts of the city, Shivaji Park and Shahupuri, so travel time may decide for you. Career Launcher is the one to look at if you also want MH CET Law preparation for Maharashtra law colleges, since its page lists it. IMS suits students who want a smaller, management-and-law centre with a named law mentor. Sit in a demo class at both, ask for the current CLAT batch size, and ask for results from this centre and not from the brand nationally.
CLAT 2027 applications close on 31 October 2026, so complete your form before you finalise coaching. See every verified listing in the city on our Kolhapur coaching page.
