Rourkela, the steel city of Odisha, has one classroom CAT institute confirmed on its own official page with a street address, Career Launcher in Koelnagar, and a second, T.I.M.E., whose official page names the city and the Koelnagar area but gives no address. This guide lists only what we could confirm, and says what we could not.

Why Rourkela for CAT coaching
Rourkela is home to NIT Rourkela, whose official site lists an MBA run by its School of Management and says applicants with high national-level test scores get preference, with group discussion and interview at the institute. Students here who want an IIM or a top private B-school usually have to look beyond the city for the degree, so coaching choices matter more for the test than for the college itself. The local market is small, which is why a verified short list is more useful than a padded top ten.
How we picked this list
We included a classroom institute only if its own official website names a Rourkela centre offering CAT or MBA-entrance preparation. We found Career Launcher's Rourkela centre page and T.I.M.E.'s Rourkela page. We could not confirm an IMS centre in Rourkela, and directory-only names with no official page were left out. No institute paid for its place here.
1. Rodha (Online)
Rodha is an online CAT coaching platform, so Rourkela students can join live classes from home without moving to a metro. It is led by founder Ravi Prakash (99.86 CAT percentile, formerly faculty at T.I.M.E.) on Quantitative Aptitude, with dedicated instructors for LRDI and VARC. Its free YouTube library of 1,400+ videos lets you judge the teaching before paying anything. The comprehensive batch bundles live and recorded classes, the full mock series, GD-PI preparation and one-to-one mentor sessions. Rodha reports 30+ students at 99.5+ percentile and 90+ top B-school converts in CAT 2024; these are the platform's own figures. Official website: rodha.co.in. Confirm batch dates and fees directly.
2. Career Launcher Rourkela (Koelnagar)
Career Launcher's Rourkela centre page gives the address as E-1, 1st Floor, near HDFC Bank, Koelnagar, Rourkela 769014. Its CAT coaching page lists classroom, online and hybrid modes with weekday and weekend batches. The MBA Edge 2026-27 classroom programme is described as 170+ live sessions with 30 CAT and 82 non-CAT mocks, though the same page elsewhere says 200+ sessions, so ask the centre which figure applies. Achiever profiles on the page show percentiles and colleges, but they are not clearly tied to the Rourkela centre, and the national IIM-call figures quoted are not Rourkela-specific. Fees are not published; ask the centre, and ask about its scholarship test.
3. T.I.M.E. Rourkela
T.I.M.E.'s official Rourkela page says it serves the Koelnagar area, lists CAT, CMAT, MAT and bank exams in its portfolio, and describes classroom and online teaching with full-length mocks and doubt support. The page gives no street address, fees or batch dates, and its map data points to Secunderabad, so we could not confirm a walk-in address. Call T.I.M.E. to confirm the centre location and current CAT batch before you plan a visit.
What to ask before you join
Ask for the next CAT batch start date, batch size, who teaches Quant, LRDI and VARC, and how many mock tests and sectionals are included. Ask what the fee covers, since GD-PI preparation and test series are sometimes billed separately. If a centre quotes results, ask whether they come from Rourkela or from the brand across India. Sit a demo class at each and compare with Rodha's free videos.
Which one suits whom
If you prefer a fixed classroom routine, Career Launcher in Koelnagar is the one centre here with a confirmed address. If you want flexibility, Rodha or Career Launcher's online and hybrid modes avoid travel. With CAT on 29 November 2026 and registration closed, the weeks left are best spent on mocks and analysis, not new topics; if you are still deciding on other exams, SNAP and XAT registrations are open. See every verified listing on our Rourkela coaching page and the latest MBA exam updates on our CAT and MBA blog.

Which is the best CAT coaching institute in Rourkela?

Why does this list have only three institutes instead of ten?
We included only institutes whose own official website confirms a Rourkela presence or, for Rodha, an online programme open to Rourkela students. Other names appear on directory sites but could not be confirmed, so we left them out.
