Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, still called Aurangabad on most signboards and in most searches, is a regional education hub in Maharashtra, and it also hosts Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), which admits students through CLAT. The coaching market for CLAT here is small. This guide lists the two institutes whose own official websites confirm a CLAT programme at a centre in the city, and explains why we left others out.

How we picked this list

We included an institute only if its own website shows a CLAT programme at a centre in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Directory sites list more names for the city, but most of those listings carry old update dates and the institutes' own sites either did not confirm the city or could not be checked. 1. IMS Learning Resources, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

IMS's Aurangabad centre page gives the address as N-4 12-A, Kamgar Chowk, Sector N-4, CIDCO, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar 431003, and lists CLAT classroom coaching, CLAT online coaching and MH CET Law coaching. The page says the law batches also prepare students for Symbiosis Law, NMIMS Law and OP Jindal Law. It names Sanket Kulkarni as the law mentor, described as a Supreme Court and High Court practitioner of 12 years, and promises one-on-one mentorship and doubt-clearing sessions. The centre calls itself newly started, so it has no local track record yet, and the rank and admission claims on the page are testimonials we could not verify. IMS is better known nationally for CAT coaching, so CLAT here is one of several programmes.

2. CLATPrep (T.I.M.E.), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

CLATPrep is the CLAT and law-entrance brand of T.I.M.E., and its Aurangabad centre page lists the centre at 2nd Floor, Konark Complex, behind Hotel Amarpreet, Jalna Road, with the contact email aurangabad@time4education.com. The centre offers classroom courses, online CLAT courses, test series and correspondence courses. For the CLAT 2025 classroom programme, the page cites 70 mock tests on the CLAT, AILET and SLAT pattern, 150 online sectional tests and about 1,800 pages of study material. The page says faculty include alumni of NLUs, IITs and IIMs but names none for Aurangabad, and the topper results it shows are national, not specific to this centre. Fees are not published; you have to enquire.

What we left out, and why

Directory sites also list PT Education and Law Admission Tutorials, both at Chaudhary Chambers near Roxy Theatre, First Attempt Success Tutorials on Station Road, and a few others. The directory records for these are dated between 2013 and 2015, and we could not confirm their current CLAT batches on an official page, so we have not listed them. Large online CLAT brands such as LegalEdge also serve students here, but they have no Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar centre.

How to choose

If you want a classroom with a large national mock pool and a dedicated CLAT product, CLATPrep on Jalna Road is the more law-specific of the two. IMS suits students who also want Maharashtra law CET preparation under the same roof and value one-on-one mentoring from a practising lawyer. With only two verified options, many serious aspirants also add an online test series. Whichever you pick, sit in a demo class, ask how many students are in the current CLAT batch, and ask for recent results from this centre, not from the brand as a whole. Fees change every year and neither centre publishes them.
