Quick facts

Registration and scheduling: 20 August to 25 October 2026
Test window: 2 November to 20 December 2026

What changed from the earlier schedule
When GMAC first published the 2026 cycle in August, registration was due to close on 10 October and slot scheduling on 22 October. The official page now lists 25 October for both, so the window has been extended by two weeks for registration and three days for scheduling. Anyone who read our August note should use the 25 October date instead.
What it means for students
The registration and booking window has now closed, so candidates who already hold a booked slot can sit the exam in the 2 November to 20 December window, while others will need to look at other MBA exams. Registering without booking a slot does not secure a seat at a test centre, and slots in popular cities fill first-come, first-served as the window progresses. NMAT allows up to three attempts within the cycle, and the best score counts, so booking an early date leaves room for a retake before 20 December. Rescheduling and retakes are paid, so check the fee table on the official page before you pay.
