Siliguri, in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, is the main city for CAT and MBA-entrance coaching in North Bengal, and the two classroom institutes whose own official pages confirm a Siliguri centre are IMS and Career Launcher. Rodha, an online-only platform, is a third option for students who would rather prepare from home. This guide lists only what we could confirm on official pages.
Quick facts
City: Siliguri, Darjeeling district, West Bengal
Exam covered: CAT 2026 (also XAT, NMAT, SNAP and CMAT preparation)
Institutes listed: 3 (two classroom centres and one online platform), each checked against official pages as of 20 October 2026
Coaching areas: S.F. Road (IMS) and Hakimpara (Career Launcher)
Upcoming dates: CAT 2026 on 29 November 2026 (iimcat.ac.in); NMAT 2026 registration closes 25 October 2026 (mba.com)
How we picked this list
We included a classroom institute only if its own official website shows a Siliguri centre offering CAT or MBA-entrance coaching. We checked the IMS Siliguri centre page and Career Launcher's Siliguri centre page. We could not confirm a T.I.M.E. centre in Siliguri on T.I.M.E.'s own site, and the directory-only names we came across had no official page, so we left them out rather than pad the list to ten. No institute paid for its place here.
1. Rodha (Online)
Rodha is an online-only CAT and OMET (XAT, SNAP, NMAT and others) coaching platform, so Siliguri students join live classes from home. It is led by founder Ravi Prakash (99.86 CAT percentile, formerly faculty at T.I.M.E.) on Quantitative Aptitude, with dedicated instructors for LRDI and VARC. Its free YouTube library of 1,400+ videos covers the CAT syllabus, so you can judge the teaching before paying anything.
The comprehensive CAT batch bundles live and recorded classes, OMET preparation, the full mock series, GD-PI interview preparation and one-to-one "Rodha Panchayat" mentor sessions in a single enrolment. Rodha reports 30+ students at 99.5+ percentile and 90+ top B-school converts in CAT 2024. Official website: rodha.co.in. Confirm current batch dates and fees directly before enrolling.
2. IMS Siliguri
IMS's official Siliguri centre page gives the address as Majumdar Building, 1st Floor, Opposite Electric Office, S.F. Road, Siliguri 734005, and says the centre has been teaching students in the city since 2011. It lists CAT, CMAT, XAT, IIFT, SNAP, MAT, NMAT and TISSNET among its postgraduate programmes, and also runs CLAT, BBA-entrance, GMAT, GRE and banking courses. The page does not publish results or fees, so ask the centre for Siliguri-specific CAT results and batch costs when you visit.
3. Career Launcher Siliguri (Hakimpara)
Career Launcher's official Siliguri centre page lists a Hakimpara centre at 18, Haren Mukherjee Road, near Bhutia Market, beside GTS Club, 1st floor, Siliguri 734001. The page says it offers CAT, XAT, CLAT, AILET, BBA and IPMAT preparation, and that the branch began operating on 15 November 2014. It describes class tests, mock tests and student feedback as part of its method, but it gives no results figures; its "outstanding results" line is the centre's own claim.
What to ask before you join
For a classroom centre, ask for the current CAT batch start date, batch size, who teaches Quant, LRDI and VARC, and how many mock tests are included. Ask what the fee covers, since some programmes bill GD-PI preparation and test series separately. If a centre quotes results, ask whether they are from Siliguri or from the brand across India. Sit a demo class at both centres and compare with Rodha's free videos before you pay anyone.
Which one suits whom
If you are a working professional or a college student with fixed hours, an online batch such as Rodha's gives you recorded classes and flexibility. If you learn better in a room with a fixed schedule, IMS on S.F. Road and Career Launcher in Hakimpara are the two confirmed local choices. Either way, with CAT on 29 November 2026 and registration already closed, the next six weeks are best spent on mocks and analysis rather than new topics. Frequently asked questions
Which is the best CAT coaching institute in Siliguri?
For most Siliguri aspirants, our first recommendation is Rodha (online): live CAT classes, a full mock series, GD-PI preparation and 1:1 mentoring come in one batch, and its 1,400+ free YouTube lessons let you try the teaching first. For a classroom, IMS (S.F. Road) and Career Launcher (Hakimpara) both have official Siliguri centre pages. Attend a demo at each and ask for Siliguri-specific results.
Why does this list have only three institutes instead of ten?
We included only institutes whose own official website confirms a Siliguri centre or, for Rodha, an online programme open to Siliguri students. Other names appear on directory sites, but we couldn't confirm them on an official site, so we left them out rather than pad the list.
Where are CAT coaching centres in Siliguri located?
IMS is at Majumdar Building, 1st Floor, opposite the Electric Office on S.F. Road (734005). Career Launcher is at 18, Haren Mukherjee Road, Hakimpara, near Bhutia Market (734001).
When is CAT 2026?
CAT 2026 is on 29 November 2026; registration has closed. Details are on iimcat.ac.in.
