The Central Seat Allocation Board declared the DASA and CSAB Special Counselling 2026 Round-I seat allotment result on Thursday, 6 August at 5 PM, and Round-II results are scheduled for Wednesday, 12 August, also at 5 PM, per the official schedule published on csab.nic.in.
What's actually confirmed
CSAB's own DASA & CSAB-Special 2026 page lists the Round-I result under "Latest News" as declared, matching the official Schedule for DASA (UG) and CSAB Special Rounds 2026 Activities. That schedule shows registration, document upload and fee payment closed on 3 August (10 AM), choice filling and locking closed on 5 August (2 PM), and the Round-I result followed the next day, 6 August (5 PM). Candidates allotted a seat in Round I now have a window from 6 August (5 PM) to 10 August (5 PM) to exercise a willingness option โ Freeze, Slide, Float, Surrender, Withdraw or Exit โ and, for CSAB Special candidates specifically, to complete online reporting: paying Institute Admission Fee-II and uploading documents. Round II results follow on 12 August (5 PM), with a further reporting window running to 14 August (5 PM). This year's DASA/CSAB-Special cycle runs to just two rounds, not the multi-round process seen in some past years.
Physical reporting at allotted institutes for candidates who confirm a seat through DASA or CSAB Special is tentatively scheduled for 13-18 August 2026, though CSAB's schedule flags this as provisional and directs candidates to each institute's own website for the confirmed reporting date and fee.
What this means for students
If you were allotted a seat in Round I, the immediate task is choosing a willingness option before the 10 August, 5 PM deadline โ Freeze locks your seat, Float or Slide keeps you in the running for Round II, and missing the deadline risks losing the allotment entirely. CSAB Special candidates additionally need to clear online reporting (fee payment and document upload) inside that same window; DASA candidates' document verification, by contrast, happens before allotment rather than after. If Round I didn't work out, Round II on 12 August is your remaining shot this cycle, since only two rounds are planned for 2026. Either way, treat this as a fully separate process from JoSAA: CSAB's own guidance is explicit that registration, choices, seat allotment and fee payment do not carry over from JoSAA, so a JoSAA login or seat has no bearing on your DASA/CSAB-Special status.
