NTA has not yet opened registration for JEE Main 2027, and the official JEE Main portal carried no 2027 notice when we checked it on 15 October 2026, even though Session 1 is proposed for 22 to 30 January 2027.
Quick facts
JEE Main 2027 Session 1: proposed for 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30 January 2027, with 31 January as a buffer day (99 days from 15 October 2026)
Session 2: dates not yet announced in NTA's examination calendar
Registration: not open as of 15 October 2026; no application date published by NTA
Official portal: jeemain.nta.nic.in
Calendar notice: NTA's examination calendar up to March 2027, dated 16 September 2026, on nta.ac.in
What NTA has and has not announced
NTA's public notice dated 16 September 2026 publishes its examination calendar up to March 2027, and it proposes the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 dates as 22 to 24 and 28 to 30 January 2027. The calendar marks these as proposed, so they can still change.
The JEE Main portal's notice list on 15 October 2026 still showed only the 2026 cycle: score cards for Session 2 and the 2026 answer keys. There was no invitation to apply, no information bulletin and no Session 2 schedule for 2027.
In the previous cycle, NTA's notice archive shows the invitation to apply for Session 1 went up around the end of October 2025. Based on that pattern, an application notice in the coming weeks would not be surprising, but NTA has not confirmed any date and we are not treating one as fact.
What students should do now
Keep your Aadhaar, category certificate and any UDID details current before the form opens, since NTA has previously advised candidates to update these before applying. Apply only through the official JEE Main portal once the notice is out. We will update this page when NTA publishes the bulletin.
