No major Indian MBA-entrance exam issued a fresh notification on 27 August 2026. Rather than force a story where there isn't one, here is a straight status check on every live MBA-entrance registration window right now, checked directly against each exam's own official site, plus what's still pending for later this year.
What's actually live today
CAT 2026 (conducted by IIM Indore): registration opened 3 August 2026 and stays open until 15 September 2026, 5:00 PM, at iimcat.ac.in. The exam is set for Sunday, 29 November 2026, across roughly 170 test cities in three sessions. Application fee is Rs 2,700 for general candidates and Rs 1,350 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
XAT 2027 (XLRI Jamshedpur): registration has been open since 15 July 2026 and closes 6 December 2026, at xatonline.in. The exam is 3 January 2027. XLRI's site is currently running a free mock test on 30 August 2026, open only to candidates who complete their application by 27 August - today - so anyone mid-registration should finish before end of day to qualify.
SNAP 2026 (Symbiosis International): registration opened 21 August 2026 and closes 25 November 2026, at snaptest.org. The test runs across three sessions - 13, 19 and 26 December 2026 - with a candidate's best score counting.
NMAT 2026 (GMAC): registration and slot booking have been live since 20 August 2026 at mba.com, with registration closing 10 October and slot booking open until 22 October. The test-delivery window runs 2 November to 20 December 2026.
What's still pending
CMAT 2027 (NTA): no notification yet. Based on NTA's past cycles, it's expected around October-November 2026, at cmat.nta.nic.in.
MICAT 2027 (MICA): no notification yet. MICA's own past-cycle pattern points to a September 2026 release, at mica.ac.in.
IIFT 2027 (NTA, for IIFT Delhi/Kolkata): admission for the 2027-29 batch runs through the CAT 2026 score rather than a separate IIFT test this cycle, so candidates targeting IIFT should register for CAT 2026 directly rather than wait on a standalone IIFT notification.
