Top IAS Coaching Institutes in Kozhikode (2026)

Kozhikode is the main UPSC preparation centre for north Kerala. Aspirants come here from Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod, and the city is an official UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) exam centre, listed as "Kozhikode (Calicut)" in the CSE 2026 notification. This guide lists the IAS coaching options in Kozhikode that we could confirm on each institute's own official website.

How we picked this list

We only included an institute if its own website names a Kozhikode centre and says it offers UPSC Civil Services coaching. Kozhikode doesn't have centres of the big Delhi chains, so most options are Kerala-based academies. We found other names on directory sites, but couldn't confirm them on an official site, so we left them out instead of padding the list to ten. Results and success figures below are the institutes' own claims.

1. Kerala State Civil Service Academy – Kozhikode sub-centre

The Kerala State Civil Service Academy was set up by the Government of Kerala in 2005 under the Centre for Continuing Education Kerala (CCEK). Its sub-centres page lists a Kozhikode centre at West Hill, Chungam P.O., running Prelims-cum-Mains (regular and weekend), a Civil Service Foundation Course and a Talent Development Course for school students. Fees at the state academy are usually well below private institutes, but seats are limited and admission is through an entrance test. Check the academy's site for the current batch.

2. Absolute IAS Academy

Absolute IAS Academy's official contact page lists a Kozhikode centre at Parco Complex, Kallai Road, opposite the Town Bus Stand. The academy is headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram and also has a centre in Kochi. It runs regular, weekend, online and foundation batches, and its Malayalam-medium batch suits aspirants who plan to write the exam in Malayalam. The academy also publishes its own Malayalam study books.

3. Alchemy IAS Institute

Alchemy IAS lists its Kozhikode centre on its official website as the 6th floor of Golden Plaza Building on Mavoor Road, opposite the KSRTC bus stand. The site says the institute was set up in 2016 by Gris Hikdas. It offers a hybrid UPSC prelims-plus-mains course, a three-year integrated degree-plus-IAS programme, KAS coaching and a junior programme for Classes 5–12.

4. Summit IAS Academy

Summit IAS Academy's official website gives its address as the 4th floor of Shafeer Complex, YMCA Junction, Kannur Road, about 600 metres from the KSRTC bus stand. It runs a regular batch, a Sunday batch for working aspirants, Malayalam optional coaching, KAS coaching and prelims and mains test series. On 9 October 2026 its homepage was advertising admissions for its regular and Sunday civil service batches.

5. Xylem IAS (Xylem Learning)

Xylem Learning is a Kozhikode-based ed-tech company that also coaches students for NEET and JEE. Its civil service coaching page lists a Kozhikode (Calicut) centre at its "Future Campus", alongside online UPSC classes. Xylem's centre directory places that campus at Nalinam Arcade, Mini Bypass Road, Eranhipalam. Its website was not loading on 9 October 2026, so call Xylem to confirm the civil service batch address and timings before visiting.

What we left out, and why

Directory sites also list ALS IAS (Mini Bypass), ACE IAS Academy (Mavoor Road) and several smaller study circles in Kozhikode. ALS IAS's Kozhikode page would not load when we checked, and we could not find an official website for ACE IAS Academy, so neither is on this list. ClearIAS appears on many "best IAS coaching in Kozhikode" pages, but its own site says it has no offline centre in the city.

How to choose

If cost matters most, start with the Kerala State Civil Service Academy sub-centre and its entrance test. If you want to write the exam in Malayalam, ask Absolute and Summit about their Malayalam batches and optional coaching. College students may want to look at Alchemy's integrated degree-plus-IAS programme, but be sure you can balance it with your degree classes. Whichever you pick, attend a demo class, ask for the names and ranks of recent successful students from this specific centre, and check how many classes are live versus recorded.
