The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) declared the Final Seat Allotment Result for Round 1 of NEET UG 2026 counselling on 24 August 2026, via Notice No. 14 on mcc.nic.in. The notice tells all Round 1 participating candidates to proceed to report to their allotted college, and to read Chapter 2 of the UG Information Bulletin, which covers Freeze, Float, Upgradation and Withdrawal of an allotted seat, before starting the admission process.
What's actually confirmed
Per the official schedule revised on 19 August 2026, the All India Quota/Deemed/Central Universities Round 1 process (registration through result) ran from 4 to 21 August 2026, while participating states ran their own Round 1 counselling from 13 to 27 August 2026. The last date for a candidate allotted a seat in Round 1 to complete joining is 31 August 2026, with MCC's own verification of joined-candidate data following on 1 September and state DMEs/counselling authorities completing theirs by 5-6 September. This cycle also introduces "Freeze" and "Float" options for allotted candidates for the first time, per MCC's notice, intended to make moving between an allotted seat and a possible upgrade in a later round more convenient - the exact mechanics are laid out in Chapter 2 of the Information Bulletin rather than summarised in the notice itself, so candidates should read that chapter directly rather than assume how it works.
