What's confirmed
MCC published the final allotment result for Round 3 of UG counselling on 1 October 2026. Its UG page says reporting started on 2 October and allotment letters were made available for download. MCC's official AIQ counselling schedule (dated 14 September 2026) sets 9 October as the last day of Round 3 reporting. Colleges verify joined candidates on 10 October.
The same schedule lists the online Stray Vacancy Round as the last MCC round for 2026. Registration and payment run from 12 to 14 October. Choice filling runs from 12 to 15 October, with locking from 4 pm on 14 October to 10 am on 15 October. MCC will process allotments on 15–16 October and publish the result on 17 October. Candidates allotted a seat must report between 19 and 26 October.
What this means for students
If you were allotted a seat in Round 3, report to that college with your original documents by 9 October. If you don't report in time, you lose that seat.
If you are still without a seat, the Stray Vacancy Round is your last chance at an AIQ, deemed or central institution seat through MCC this year. Registration does not carry over from earlier rounds, so you must register again between 12 and 14 October. Fill as many choices as you would genuinely accept, because seats in this round go only to the vacancies that remain after Round 3.
State-quota counselling runs separately through each state's own authority, so keep checking your state's medical counselling website as well.
