CLAT Online Coaching: Check the Exam Year and End Date
CLAT online coaching should be chosen by exam year first. Check that a batch's access end date falls after the CLAT you are sitting, then compare price and refund terms in writing.
Updated 24 Oct 2026

Key takeaways
- Choose the exam year first. Confirm the batch's access end date falls at least 30 days after your CLAT (our recommendation), then compare price and brand.
- Access end dates vary a lot. Of the 12 batch cards on the law batches page of Physics Wallah (PW) on 24 October 2026, 6 end on 31 December 2026, shortly after the 6 December 2026 exam.
- A fee only becomes comparable when divided by the months of access you actually get. Confirm whether Goods and Services Tax (GST) is included.
- Refund windows can be short: Toprankers allows 5 calendar days from payment and processes approved refunds within 30 working days. Its policy does not name CLAT courses, so ask whether yours is covered, and run the checks before you pay.

Many online batches for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) carry an exam year in their name, but the year does not tell you when access ends. A batch called "2027" can stop 25 days after the paper, while another runs for months.
Most buyers compare brand, price and teacher. Few compare the end date. A Class 11 student, a Class 12 student planning a repeat attempt and the parent paying for either are choosing between products with different expiry dates. They are also often choosing between different refund windows.
Below is a check you can finish in ten minutes. It covers the exam year, the access end date, the cost per month and what to get in writing. It uses dates and prices that providers publish themselves, so you can repeat it on any batch.
How do you choose CLAT online coaching without paying for the wrong exam year?
Decide which sitting of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) you are aiming at, then buy only a batch whose access runs past that date. As of October 2026, the next paper is CLAT 2027 on Sunday 6 December 2026 (our CLAT, AILET and SLAT 2027 status check). It is held from 2 to 4 pm in offline pen-and-paper mode (Consortium of National Law Universities instructions).
| Your target | Exam date | Access must end after | What to look at |
|---|---|---|---|
| The next paper, CLAT 2027 | 6 December 2026 | 6 December 2026, plus a month | Only short revision batches or batches built around mocks (full-length practice papers). A long course bought now leaves you weeks, not a year |
| CLAT 2028 | Expected Sunday 5 December 2027 (PW's CLAT 2028 page); treat it as expected until the Consortium notifies it | 5 December 2027, plus a month | Year-long batches |
| CLAT 2029 | Date not yet announced; the Consortium usually holds the paper in early December (our inference) | The CLAT 2029 date, plus a month | Foundation-length batches, such as Law Prep Tutorial's Foundation, which runs to December 2028 |
Students sitting their Class 12 boards in March or April 2027 are eligible for CLAT 2027, so a Class 12 student today can still sit the next paper (Consortium FAQ).
Why does the access end date matter more than the batch name?
The access end date decides how much of the exam run-up you can use. Providers' own pages show end dates ranging from days before an exam to more than two years out. A "2027" label does not tell you which.
We read the 12 batch cards the PW law batches page lists on 24 October 2026 and noted each one's published end date:

| Batches (count) | Access ends | Margin after the exam |
|---|---|---|
| "2027" Achievers, Risers, Titan, Rank Booster, Power Prep, Self Prep (6) | 31 December 2026 | 25 days after 6 December 2026 |
| "2027" Pro (1) | 31 March 2027 | 115 days after 6 December 2026 |
| "2027" Nexus Plus (1) | 22 October 2026 | Ended two days before we looked, but the card was still listed |
| "2028" Zenith, Zenith 2.0, Zenith 3.0 (3) | 31 December 2027 | 26 days after the expected 5 December 2027 |
| "2028" Zenith Pro (1) | 31 March 2028 | 117 days after the expected 5 December 2027 |
PW's Zenith Pro 2028 page gives 24 months of access, ending 31 March 2028, which is 117 days after the expected 2028 paper. The margins are our subtraction of each end date from the exam date.
The same pattern appears in Law Prep Tutorial's online course list. Some courses use a rolling window and some a fixed calendar date:
- Flix and Flix+ give 365 days.
- Target and Finisher run to December 2027.
- Foundation runs to December 2028.
Our inference is that the difference matters. A fixed-date batch does not get longer when you buy late, so every week of delay raises the cost per month. A rolling window gives you the full length, but you still need to test where it ends against your exam.
How much does a CLAT online batch cost per month of access?
Divide the fee by the months of access you will get. This is our model, not a published figure. The inputs are Law Prep Tutorial's published prices and validity, a purchase on 24 October 2026, and fees taken as listed. The page does not say whether GST is included, so ask.
- Flix. ₹24,999 for 365 days, which is about 12 months, so about ₹2,083 a month. The 365 days end around 24 October 2027, if they count from purchase (confirm this). That is about 42 days before the expected 5 December 2027 paper. Flix, the lowest-priced full course in this list, therefore fails the end-date test for CLAT 2028.
- Foundation. ₹1,25,000 to December 2028. If that means 31 December 2028 (confirm the exact day with the provider), then from 24 October 2026 it is 26 months and 7 days, about 26.2 months, so about ₹4,770 a month. The higher monthly cost buys a window that clears the CLAT 2029 sitting.
Neither is a better buy on its own. Each has to be matched to a sitting before price tells you anything. For a wider view of what online CLAT courses cost, see our CLAT coaching fees guide, and use our coaching fee comparison calculator to compare two quotes side by side.
Which five checks should you run before paying for CLAT online coaching?
Run each check and write the answer down. If any one fails, ask the provider to fix it in writing before you pay.
Does the access end date fall at least 30 days after your paper?
Pass: the end date is 30 or more days after the exam date for your sitting. Fail: the end date is fewer than 30 days after the exam date, which includes every PW batch ending 31 December 2026. The 30-day figure is our recommendation, so that revision and any date shift do not strand you.
Do the months of access match the months you will study?
Pass: the window from your purchase date to the end date is close to the time you plan to study. Fail: you are paying for months after your exam, or the window is shorter than your plan. Check whether the clock is rolling (365 days from purchase) or fixed (a calendar date).
Is the fee quoted with GST, and does it match everywhere on the page?
Pass: one fee, with GST stated, on the course page and in writing. Fail: two prices for the same course. CLATapult's online page lists its two-year online course at ₹40,000 in the fee table. Its FAQ says "2 years online course will cost 60,000 INR". Get the price confirmed in writing.
What is the refund window, and what shrinks the refund?
Pass: a written window in days, the deductions listed, and a processing time. Fail: "contact us". The Toprankers policy shows what to look for. It says "Refund requests must be raised within 5 calendar days of the date of enrollment/admission/payment" and that a refund is considered "only if the Student has not attempted more than 2 paid tests" (Toprankers refund policy). It deducts GST, delivered books and payment gateway charges. It excludes test series, and its refundable category names video and learning courses. Approved refunds are processed within 30 working days. The policy does not name CLAT courses, so ask which category your CLAT course falls in. Our guide on checking a coaching refund policy lists what to ask.
What exactly is in the batch?
Pass: written counts of live hours, mocks (full-length practice papers) and doubt support. Fail: "unlimited" or "comprehensive". The counts differ by batch. Law Prep Tutorial, for example, lists Booster with 80+ mocks and 250+ live hours, and Foundation with 150+ mocks and 1100+ hours.

How do we help you shortlist CLAT online coaching?
We help you shortlist and ask the right questions. We do not teach, deliver classes or take course payments. We publish this page, we are not a coaching provider, and we sell none of the batches named here. Hitbullseye is among the providers listed with us. PW, Law Prep Tutorial, CLATapult and Toprankers appear only for their own published dates, prices and policies.
On our online coaching directory you can browse by exam and study mode, and filter by verification status. Students can browse, compare, send enquiries and submit reviews free of charge. One CLAT online listing is Hitbullseye (Online). It is marked Verified, which means the institute shared its details and we verified them. It has no ratings yet. To ask about its fee, request a callback through the listing.
Use the five checks above as your message. Fees, batches, faculty, duration and refund terms must be confirmed directly with the provider, so ask for the end date, the fee with GST and the refund window in writing before you pay.
Shortlist CLAT online coaching with the right questions
Frequently asked questions
As of October 2026, there is no single price. Law Prep Tutorial lists Flix at ₹24,999, Booster at ₹45,000 and Foundation at ₹1,25,000. CLATapult's FAQ gives a crash course at ₹17,500, one year at ₹48,000 and two years at ₹60,000, while its fee table shows ₹40,000 for two years, so confirm which applies. See our fees guide.
We do not rank providers. The best fit is the batch whose access ends at least 30 days after your paper, whose mocks and live hours match your study time, and whose fee and refund terms are in writing. Shortlist two or three on our online directory and ask each the same five questions.
