The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) revised the Round 1 schedule for NEET UG 2026 counselling on 13 August 2026, extending the registration and choice-locking windows and pushing the Round 1 seat allotment result back to 19 August — two days later than the schedule published on 1 August.

Per MCC’s official Notice No. 08 (dated 13.08.2026) and the Current Events UG page, the revised Round 1 timeline for the 15% All India Quota and 100% deemed/central university seats now runs as follows: registration and fee payment from 5 to 15 August (payment accepted until 5 PM on 15 August), choice filling and locking from 6 to 17 August (locking open 10 AM to 6 PM on 17 August), processing of seat allotment on 18 August, result on 19 August, reporting/joining from 20 to 25 August, and verification of joined-candidate data by institutes on 26 August.

For students, the extra days mean more time to complete registration, payment and choice locking without rushing — but also a later result date, which pushes back when Round 1-allotted candidates can report to their institute and, in turn, when MCC is likely to open Round 2. Candidates should keep checking mcc.nic.in directly rather than relying on the earlier 17 August result date still circulating on some unofficial sources.
