NEET Test Series 2027: Cost Per Test and a Pre-Pay Check

As of October 2026, a NEET test series for Class 12 and dropper students costs ₹5,499 to ₹14,500 on the Aakash and PW pages we checked. PW's REAL Test Pass starts at ₹5,499. Aakash's All India Aakash Test Series (AIATS) Pro Online is ₹14,500 including GST (goods and services tax).

The counts need care. Aakash's one-year page shows 11 AIATS in its headline and 12 in its specifications, so confirm the number with Aakash before you pay. PW's pages give different totals (21 or 23 REAL tests), and PW does not say whether its 11 online REAL tests are full-length. Offers change, so check the page on the day you buy, and confirm at checkout whether PW's price includes GST.

ALLEN sells its online NEET series by class level and target year, for example Enthusiast, its full-syllabus series for Class 12. Read the page for your own class, because a Class 11 product is not the one a Class 12 student needs.

Divide the price by the number of full-length papers, not the total test count. On that basis the series above cost about ₹262 to ₹1,182 per paper. Sticker prices differ about 2.6 times (₹14,500 ÷ ₹5,499), but the lowest and highest per-paper figures differ about 4.5 times (₹1,182 ÷ ₹262).

We assumed that AIATS, mock tests, FTS and PW's REAL tests are full-length papers, because the pages list them as tests. We left out Aakash's chapter tests, AIATS-PAT and home assignments. Divide the same Aakash Pro price by all 329 listed tests and you get ₹44 a test, which shows how far "per test" can mislead. Chapter tests are useful for revision, but they do not teach you to manage a 3-hour paper.

The registration fee also matters. Aakash's ₹2,999 is about 21% of the ₹14,500 Pro price and about 23% of the ₹12,999 price (₹2,999 ÷ ₹14,500 = 20.7%; ₹2,999 ÷ ₹12,999 = 23.1%). Ask whether it is refundable before you pay.

Yes, at least in part. On 15 May 2026 the Union Education Minister announced that the exam would shift to CBT mode from the next year (DD News). NTA's 2027 information bulletin sets the exam's format, shifts and date, so check NTA's NEET site for it.

Prepare for both. Take most full-length papers on screen, in 3-hour sittings, and keep a few on paper in case the details change.

Start with free practice. National Test Abhyas is NTA's practice app and offers CBT mock tests for NEET at no charge. Two or three free full papers will tell you whether the screen is your problem or your chapters are. A paid series then buys volume, a ranking against other students, and analysis.

NEET 2026 was cancelled on 12 May and re-held on 21 June, so choose a series that lets late joiners reach earlier tests. PW's dropper page says those who register late still get access to all previously conducted tests.

For a Class 12 or dropper student who mainly wants full-length practice on a budget, PW's REAL Test Pass PRO is the one to start with: 21 offline CBT tests for ₹7,999, which is ₹381 a test, taken at a test centre. The base pass at ₹5,499 suits you if the 11 online tests turn out to be full-length.

Choose Aakash AIATS Pro Online if you want volume taken online: 268 chapter tests and 183 hours of testing on the page's own breakdown, for ₹14,500. Compared with the one-year AIATS pack, Pro costs ₹1,501 more and lists 5 mock tests, 15 final tests and 268 chapter tests alongside the AIATS, so we would not buy the AIATS-only pack on price per paper.

No mock score converts into a NEET score or rank. The trend across several full-length papers is the useful signal, and the series' difficulty decides how much the raw numbers mean.

Why are my marks lower on harder test series?

A series set harder than the exam gives lower marks without lowering your NEET marks. Use each paper to find the chapters where you lose marks, and fix those. A falling total on a hard series tells you little on its own.

Does a high mock average predict my NEET score?

Not reliably. An average depends on how hard the series is, so use the average of your last five or six full-length papers and watch its direction. A rising line matters more than any single paper, and you should not convert an average into a rank.

Run six checks, and pay only if you can answer each one from the product page or in writing from the provider.

Is the series built for your class and NEET 2027?

Pass: the page names your group (Class 11, Class 12 or dropper) and NEET 2027. Fail: it names another class or year. Prices and test counts differ by group, as the PW and ALLEN pages show.

Will some papers be on a screen?

Pass: part of the series is CBT, either online or at a test centre. Fail: paper only, if you expect a screen exam. Keep a few paper tests anyway, because NTA's bulletin is what confirms the 2027 format.

How many full-length papers are there?

Pass: the page gives a count of whole-syllabus papers. Fail: it gives only a total that bundles chapter tests. If the page is unclear, ask in writing. For PW, ask whether the 11 online REAL tests are full-length and whether the total is 21 or 23.

What does each full-length paper cost?

Work it out: (price + registration fee + any GST not included) ÷ full-length papers. Pass: you can compute it, and any figure above about ₹550 comes with a named extra such as ranking or solutions. Fail: the sum cannot be done.

What happens if you join late or want a refund?

Do you get solutions and analysis?

Pass: video or written solutions and a report by topic. Aakash's pages list video solutions and topic-wise analytical reports. Fail: only a score and a rank, which cannot tell you what to fix.
