CAT Coaching in Delhi: Fee, GST and Refund Terms to Get in Writing

CAT coaching in Delhi has no single price: published figures differ by source and by GST treatment. Get the fee, 18% GST, inclusions and refund window in writing before you pay.

Key takeaways

  • Treat every Delhi CAT price as a range until the institute gives a written quote with the fee before GST, GST, inclusions and refund window. As of 17 October 2026, MBAUniverse lists TIME (T.I.M.E., Triumphant Institute of Management Education) classroom at ₹60,000 to ₹75,000 plus GST, which is ₹70,800 to ₹88,500 payable.
  • Compare payable totals, not headline fees. 18% GST turns a ₹60,000 quote into ₹70,800.
  • Refund rules differ in length and in who they cover. MBAGuru refunds 100% within 15 days or six classes, while TIME's policy excludes classroom programmes paid at a TIME office.
  • Check the exact centre, batch and faculty before paying. Send the same quote sheet to each shortlisted institute and compare the answers side by side.

A Delhi price for the Common Admission Test (CAT), the entrance exam for MBA seats at the Indian Institutes of Management, is usually settled in a counselling conversation, not on a web page. The big institutes' own Delhi pages lead with centres, programme names and a button to book that call. The third-party fee tables that fill the gap often contradict each other.

That makes the brand a smaller decision than it looks. The bigger one is whether you pay on a spoken figure or a written one, with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) shown separately.

Below you will see where the published figures diverge, how 18% GST changes a quote, how two refund rules you can read today differ, and a quote sheet you can send to every institute on your list.

We publish this page and list several of these institutes in our directory, so each price and rule below comes from an institute's own page or is labelled as a third-party figure.

What does CAT coaching in Delhi cost, and why do published figures disagree?

As of 17 October 2026, MBAUniverse lists TIME's classroom course at ₹60,000 to ₹75,000 plus GST, which is ₹70,800 to ₹88,500 payable (our calculation: each figure × 1.18). Other published figures for the same institutes differ by source, and GST treatment differs between sources. Likely reasons, in our inference, are programme, centre, CAT year, whether 18% GST is added, and whether a figure covers online plus offline programmes. Read each figure below as a range to test against a written quote.

Institute and programmePublished figureWhere it comes from
TIMEClassroom: ₹60,000 to ₹75,000 plus GST. Online plus offline: ₹35,000 to ₹50,000

IMS, CATapult Classroom Pro 2027₹16,950 including GST
MBAGuru, online CAT course₹35,000 to ₹45,000 including GST

The guide figures are ranges as each linked page states them, not quotes, and GST treatment differs between sources.

The IMS row shows the problem most clearly. IMS's page prices CATapult Classroom Pro 2027 at ₹16,950 including GST. It lets you select a city, including Delhi-NCR, and says discounts, scholarships or waivers depend on current offers and your eligibility. MBAUniverse lists the same programme name at ₹61,329 (plus GST, an indicative figure from data collected January to April 2026). The two cannot both be the amount you pay, so ask the centre for a written quote.

Online is cheaper on the one published figure. MBAGuru's page puts its online course at ₹35,000 to ₹45,000 including GST and says online typically runs ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 below its classroom course. For a wider view, see CAT coaching fees across India and online CAT coaching compared by published mocks, format and fees.

How much does 18% GST add to a CAT coaching quote?

18% GST adds ₹10,800 to a ₹60,000 quote, making the payable total ₹70,800. IMS's page shows the split on its own course: a ₹14,364 base fee plus ₹2,586 GST makes ₹16,950. Some published figures include GST and others add it afterwards, so only payable totals can be compared.

Our model for comparing quotes is: payable total = fee before GST × 1.18. This assumes GST at 18% on the whole fee. Check whether books, mocks or interview preparation are billed separately.

A worked example, with figures we made up to show the method:

  • Institute A quotes ₹40,000 plus GST, so you pay ₹40,000 × 1.18 = ₹47,200.
  • Institute B quotes ₹45,000 including GST, so you pay ₹45,000.
  • B has the higher headline and is ₹2,200 cheaper.

Which refund rule protects you if a Delhi CAT batch is wrong for you?

It depends on the institute, and for some it depends on where you pay. MBAGuru's refund policy gives a 100% refund within the first 15 days or first six classes, whichever comes first, for online and offline programmes. TIME's refund policy applies to purchases made online on its website. It excludes classroom programmes paid at a TIME office.

TIME's policy also allows no refund for online purchases once the first set of material has been dispatched or online access has begun. So the same institute can protect you in one payment channel and not in another.

Our recommendation is to get the refund terms in writing and aim for a window that outlasts your first full-length mock test and its analysis. Do not pay at a counter until you have attended a class. The quote sheet below sets out what to ask. Our guide on how to check a coaching refund policy covers the wording to look for.

A refund window runs from a start date, so the agreed terms and the calendar need to be settled before money changes hands.

Does the centre you attend matter more than the brand for CAT coaching in Delhi?

In our view the centre and batch matter at least as much as the brand. Big brands run many Delhi centres. IMS lists centres including Connaught Place, Dwarka, East Delhi (Karkardooma), Kailash Colony, Pitampura, North Campus, Rajouri Garden and Noida. Career Launcher lists 13 Delhi centres (as of October 2026), including Connaught Place, Dwarka, South Extension, Preet Vihar and Vikaspuri.

Ask whether price, timings and teachers differ by centre, and which centre your quote applies to. Sit one class there before paying.

Also ask who will teach each of the three CAT sections in your batch:

  • Quantitative Aptitude (Quant)
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)

A star faculty name on the brand's page does not tell you who teaches your batch.

Batch size, teacher and travel time are set by the centre, so two centres of one brand can feel very different.

What should a written CAT coaching quote in Delhi contain?

A usable quote has eight lines, each with a pass and a fail condition. Send the same table to every shortlisted institute, then compare payable totals and refund windows side by side.

How do you shortlist CAT coaching in Delhi without relying on a ranking?

Filter by exam, mode and verification, read each rating's source, then send the quote sheet. That is how we do it on our Delhi coaching listings.

You can filter by exam, by classroom, hybrid or online mode, and by "Verified only". The CAT and MBA institutes on that page include Rodha (online), Career Launcher, T.I.M.E., Arun Sharma's Mindworkzz, TathaGat and MBAGuru. Each card shows the location, establishment year and mode. A Verified badge means the institute has shared its details and we have checked them. It is not a guarantee of results.

Ratings are labelled by source and kept apart from reviews collected on our site. Institutes can buy promoted placement on our listings, and it is labelled as promoted.

For institute-by-institute profiles, read our top CAT coaching institutes in Delhi page. If the commute is the obstacle, choose by your constraint for online versus offline coaching.

You send an enquiry or callback request to the institute you select. We do not take payment. Fees, batches, faculty, facilities, duration and refund terms are confirmed with the institute, which is where the quote sheet above does its work.

Frequently asked questions

The main CAT coaching institutes in Delhi include TIME, Career Launcher, IMS, MBAGuru, TathaGat, AnkGanit, Alchemist and Arun Sharma's Mindworkzz, and online providers such as Rodha serve Delhi students too. Our Delhi page lets you filter these by mode and verification.
Not necessarily. Coaching buys structure, a fixed schedule and mock tests, and self-study works if you can keep to a plan alone. Our recommendation is to attend one class, or use any trial an institute offers, before paying.
Result figures on institute pages are the institutes' own claims. Ask for named results with the CAT year, the batch and the number of students enrolled. A Verified badge on our listings confirms details, not selection outcomes.
Check the source label first. On our listings, ratings are labelled by where they come from, and reviews collected on our site appear separately. Reviews may be removed for abuse, spam or impersonation under our terms.
No. We do not teach, deliver classes or collect course payments. You send an enquiry or callback request to the institute you select, then confirm fees, batches, faculty, facilities, duration and refund terms with it before paying it directly.
